Is receiving available in Fiftify today?
Yes. Mark a purchase order as ordered and it appears on the inbound board as a receive task. Your team counts it on the handheld, and put-away then moves every unit into an exact bin.
What does receiving include?
Checking deliveries in against PO lines on the handheld, recording short deliveries as Partial, and guided put-away into exact bins. Optional QA, staging and repackage steps can be turned on per warehouse.
What happens with a short delivery?
Receive what arrived. The purchase order moves to Partial and waits for the rest of the delivery, or you close it - nothing needs forcing.
Can received stock go straight to an open order?
Yes. With cross-dock turned on in the warehouse settings, goods that arrive for an order already waiting on them go straight to picking instead of being shelved first.
Do I need special hardware for receiving?
No. Counting happens in the Fiftify app on any Android or iOS phone, or with a Bluetooth or USB scanner gun in keyboard-wedge mode.
How does put-away work?
Put-away is its own task on the handheld: each line gets a bin, and once the task completes the stock sits in that bin and pickers can be sent to it.
